Your First Session

Deciding Your Next Steps After The First Session

There is no obligation to continue. At the end of the session, you can decide whether you’d like to book further appointments, or take some time to reflect. I encourage clients to choose what feels right for them.

What to expect?

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure about what the first session will be like. My aim is to create a calm, welcoming space where you can get a sense of me, ask questions, and decide whether working together feels right.

Understanding Your Needs

Together, we discuss what you would like to get from therapy. These might be clear goals, or they may be something we uncover over time. There is no pressure to have everything worked out and we take this at your pace.

Explaining How Sessions Work

I will talk you through the practicalities:

• Session length (50 minutes)
• Frequency of sessions
• Fees and payment
• Online, face-to-face or walk & talk options

This helps you know exactly what to expect moving forward.
